We absolutely love this place, we've been customers for many years and we feel no other place comes even close, from the friendliness of the staff, the cozy and elegant ambiance to the magnificent and delicious desserts! although we have tried almost everything on the menu we have our favorites, for me is the mascarpone torte, and for my fiance the fruit tart. We have introduce many friends and family to this wonderful place, if people would visit from out of state or even out of the country as part of the "tour of RI" Pastiche is one the "must do" list! We now live in Ohio but every time we come home we make sure we stop by! Thanks for providing us with delicious desserts and good memories! I discovered Pastiche many years ago when my Uncle owned a flower shop on the hill. I have traveled all around the U.S. and a bit of South America and yet, I can't seem to get enough of the "fruit tart". I have tried everything on the menu but ALWAYS get the fruit tart (EXTREMELY SADDENED when it was off season for awhile). My friend & I would go there almost everyday and every hour when I ran for Mrs. Federal Hill in 96'. I now live in California & I am still trying to find a way to get the fruit tart properly packaged so I can order it at least every two weeks. If it were up to me I would have it morning, noon, and night. Although, I do appreciate the fact there is only one Pastiche and I have something to look forward to when I go back home. I find it to be extraordinarily pleasurable when I visit with my family and friends. I want to thank the owner for the opportunity to experience the incredible hospitality of the workers & THE ONE AND ONLY FRUIT TART (you can't get anywhere else). THANK YOU! Yet, I find that I still miss the earthy Carrot Cake from Pastiche, refreshing Fruit Tart, sinful Banana Cream Pie and comforting Rugelach and Apple Tart. Quit simply put, from Manhattan to San Francisco, Pastiche is the best dessert cafe I have ever experienced. Thanks!"
